tenez = imperative of TENIR, which means to pull, to take...
the conjugation is
je tiens
tu tiens
il tient
nous tenons
vous tenez
ils tiennent

The imperative can be the "tu" form or the "vous" form. Thus it means
tenez: take, pull (in this context take)
le: masculin definite article
droit: right (as a direction)

LEFT IS GAUCHE in french!

as we go on, we can see that it means: take the right, as said...
