Latin and Family Mottos

Hi there,
is there anyone who can translate the two phrases that i wrote below for me.
I have tried a free latin translator but it gives me two different responses when i use english-latin and when i use the equivalent of portuguese-latin, which is my language and it is obviously a free translator so i am not sure how correct it might be.

Only death is certain
Only death set us free
