In Response To: Latin Family Motto on sword (Brian Horidge)

I just went online to look at the same thing - and have found both the crest and motto associated with the Freemasons and, in my case, the Knights Templar.

My grandfather was a Freemason, as was his father, but I don't know much else about them other than cursory information around the proliferation of esteemed social and moral attributes and brotherhood. All of that is online.

The piece I'm looking at is very simple and I don't remember where it came from. I don't think it was from my grandfather.
