Latin and Family Mottos

Scots Clan Motto!! Need Help!!!

Having just returned to England from a three year study period in Scotland, some friends of mine decided to remind me of my time there by presenting me with the Baxter clan's crest and motto.
Unfortunately, about the best I can muster in Latin would be Venu, Vermini, Vomui (and I have to thank Terry Pratchett for that!).
If anyone could advise me as to the meaning of "Miseris Succurere Disco" I would be most relieved, as it's been bugging me for months.
