Meaning of Latin Motto

Recently purchased small (millitary) badge with British royal coat of arts (containing Order of Garter motto)...but also a shield with a tall lighthouse, three fleur de lis and a ship with the motto 'PARIS-PLAGE'. It would appear to mean in French - 'Paris-beach' Could it have a Latin meaning. Perhaps it refers to an old branch of the navy going back to Anglo-Norman days... Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks
