In Response To: Re: Breen Motto Translation (Todd TH)

Todd, in response to your question about the Red hand of Ulster on the Breen family crest. When reading through my cousin's genealogy research of our family I found that our family of Breens were related to the McManus clan. They(McManus) were linked/related to the O'Neill clan. I don't know how accurate this infomation is for all Breens, but it applied to my family who lived in Tempo and Fermanagh.

I also remember reading somewhere about the relation between the Breen the O'Briens because of the variations of spelling

I hope it was some help!
