Latin and Family Mottos

love until it hurts Latin translation

Can anyone translate "love until it hurts"? I put it into an online dictionary and it came out in Latin as "diligo insquequo is vulnero" but since I'm tattooing it on my arm by a dove, I'd like to be sure about the latin nuances of diligo. Should it be diligo or amor? I'd like it to be the word that stands for pure love or unconditional love.
To provide more context, the phrase comes from the quote, "Love until it hurts, then there can be no more pain, only love."
Thank you, Hallie
