Teen OCD

3 Years and still sick.

Hi
My name is Bethany and I'm 16 years old. I've had OCD for 3 years now, since my freshman year in high school, and I'm still having problems bad enough that I sometimes can't leave my house. I take zoloft, but I really don't think it helps very much. My OCD is centered around germs and things being "dirty", but not a dirty that could hurt anyone, just some kind of dirty that I can't touch or be near them without having to shower.
Does anyone else have a similar problem? I could really use someone to talk to, I need to know that I'm not the only one out here who thinks like this, because now my parents are talking about a "residential treatment facility" and I'm kind of scared.
