They say that induced psychosis either through alcohol or drugs is subject to much debate, as the arguement is that there has to be an underlying mental health issue there to start with. My friend is actually experiencing these symptoms at present. He has got an alcohol problem for which he is trying to combat with the help of relevant agencies. During periods of drinking he also has similar symptoms to that of schizophrenia. He has been prescribed an anti psychotic and something to take away the anxiety. However, have you ever tried to get an alcholic to remember to take his anti pychotic medication. I am very concerned as he has been talking about suicidal thoughts!!...Any advice would be great....Thanks
